Reading Boys. Kendrick.
One Programme.
Proven Results..
Our founder’s own four children went through this exact preparation, her son at Reading Boys and her three daughters at Kendrick. In 2026, four more of our students earned places at these two schools, two at Reading Boys and two at Kendrick, all starting with us in Year 3 or Year 4.
Exam date change: from 2026, the Reading Boys entrance exam is in mid-July, at the end of Year 5, not Year 6. A boy starting Year 5 in September has less than one school year to prepare.

Kendrick School for Girls
Reading Girls' School, a second option most parents don't know exists.
42 selective-stream places for academically able girls, via the CEM Select exam covering verbal, non-verbal, and numerical reasoning. State funded, free, with no catchment area. Many families preparing for Kendrick register here too. It isn’t Kendrick. The selective stream sits inside a larger, mixed intake, so more of the responsibility falls on parents to stay involved. Selective-stream students who do well at GCSE have gone on to join Kendrick’s Sixth Form. 2026 key dates: registration opens in early autumn, the test is Saturday 3rd October, and results are released by 31st October.
